Seeking Oliver’s Forever Home
Help us find Oliver’s forever home
Oliver is our beloved dog. Unfortunately, we have been struggling with his reactive behavior towards our other small dogs. Though we’ve worked with a trainer, we’ve come to the difficult decision that it would be best for all the dogs to find Oliver a new home where there are no other small dogs.
About Oliver
3 year old Purebred Male Great Dane
190-200lbs, Mantle coloring
Neutered
No known health issues
Shots up-to-date
Microchipped
Housebroken
Crate trained (only for short periods and sleep)
Obedience trained & certificate (sit, stay, lay down, etc.)
Extremely loving and cuddly
Why are we looking for a new home?
Oliver is reactive and aggressive to other dogs and strangers. He has a high prey-drive and has attacked/injured our small dog. He would do very well in a home with no pets or young children, where he will receive lots of attention and love from his guardians.
He has never shown any aggression or reactivity towards his humans. He does not need a lot of exercise but does need a yard to do his business. He needs a muzzle if going in public or to the vet. He would do best as a stay-at-home dog.
He’s a wonderful dog
Oliver is extremely loving — he love to snuggle with his guardians. We want to find him a home with loving guardians who will give him the affection and attention he craves. We are very heartbroken to be rehoming him but we think it is in his best interest as well as the best interest of our other dogs.
He is very protective of his humans and has a loud, intimidating bark regarding strangers.
